Walk Wales Terms & Conditions
- Participants must be 18 years or older or if under 18, participants must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.
- All participants must complete the registration process before the event date.
- Registration is non-transferable and non-refundable once completed, except in the case of event cancellation.
- By registering for the 10-mile walk, participants agree to fundraise a minimum if £50 via Just Giving or a Sponsorship Form located on our website. This is required to be achieved prior to the event date. Failure to do so will result in participants being responsible for the amount remaining paid, or termination of participation.
- Participants are responsible for bringing their own refreshments such as water and snacks to keep themselves energised, a midpoint stop will not be guaranteed.
- Participants acknowledge and accept that within the 10 mile walk with James Hook, that they will not be guaranteed to have communication with James Hook.
- By registering, participants consent to the use of their personal information for event-related purposes only.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and capable of completing the 10-mile walk.
- It is recommended that participants consult with a healthcare provider before participating in the event if they have any medical conditions or concerns.
- By participating in the event, participants acknowledge and accept that they are participating at their own risk.
- Participants agree to waive any claims against the event organisers, sponsors, volunteers and partners for any injury, accident, or loss that may occur during the event – for both the virtual and in person event.
- Participants must follow the instructions of event officials, volunteers, and any law enforcement officers at all times.
- Disruptive behaviour, including but not limited to harassment, violence, or failure to follow event rules, will result in immediate removal from the event.
- Participants should remain aware of their surroundings and be cautious of traffic, other pedestrians, and any potential hazards along route.
- Participants must wear appropriate footwear and clothing for a 10km walk.
- In case of an emergency, participants should contact event staff or emergency services immediately.
- The event organisers reserve the right to modify, postpone or cancel the event in cases of severe weather, unforeseen circumstances, or safety concerns.
- In the event of a cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible and will receive further instructions regarding refunds, if applicable.
- By participating in the event, participants grant the organisers the right to take photographs or videos of the event in which they may appear.
- These photos and videos may be used for promotional purposes in social media, advertising, or other media channels related to the event.
- Participants are responsible for their personal belongings during the event. The organisers are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- It is advised that participants only bring essential items and keep their belongings secure.
- Participants are encouraged to dispose of waste properly and respect the environment. Littering or damaging property will not be tolerated.
- Participants agree to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations during the event.
- By registering for the 10 mile walk, participants agree to all terms and conditions outlined in this document. If a participant does not agree to these terms, they should not proceed with registration.
