Fuel Cost Appeal
Fuel Cost Increase
Every day, our crews take to the skies for people in Wales who are having the worst day of their lives. When someone is critically ill or seriously injured, our helicopters can mean the difference between life and death – reaching patients, wherever they are, and flying them to the specialist care they urgently need. This often involves long distances.
Right now, the cost of keeping our helicopters flying has risen sharply due to the conflict in the Middle East. Even if the conflict were to end tomorrow, the Charity would still face additional costs in the region of £50,000 due to sustained increases in aviation fuel prices.
This is happening at a point when our flying time begins to increase. Longer days and better weather mean more use of our helicopters, with lives depending on us being ready to respond – every single time the call comes in.
We know times are hard for many people, and we’re incredibly grateful for any support you can give. A donation to our Fuel Cost Appeal – however big or small – will help cover these rising costs and keep our lifesaving crews in the air.
With your help, we can continue to be there for the people of Wales when they need us most.
