Patrons and Ambassadors
His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales
The Prince became Patron of the Wales Air Ambulance on St David’s Day in 2023, making it the first Patronage he took on as Prince of Wales. His Royal Highness was delighted to celebrate Air Ambulance Week 2024 with the Wales Air Ambulance in Llanelli.
Through his own work as both a RAF Search and Rescue pilot and an air ambulance pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance, The Prince has seen first-hand the importance of providing critical care 24/7 to those suffering a life
threatening injury or illness. His Royal Highness also knows the vital importance of emergency services for people across the UK and has been committed to supporting emergency responders through his patronages and The Royal Foundation initiatives including Blue Light Together.
His Royal Highness is committed to championing and supporting vital emergency services across the UK and the extraordinary work and dedication of its staff, especially the tremendous and unique demands on their mental health and wellbeing. From the regular exposure to trauma to often being separated from their families, The Prince feels passionately in doing what he can to support the community in safeguarding their mental health and wellbeing.
