Become a future Flyer

If your under 25 and are looking to boost your future job prospects, then our ‘future flyers’ programme may be perfect for you

What is Future Flyers?

The future flyers scheme is supported by a grant from the Principality Building Society and aims to give young volunteers looking for work, a vital boost. By becoming a ‘future flyer’, you will be able to enhance your skills while adding to your CV.

What does it involve?

Volunteers aged under 25 can sign up to the scheme and will be given a ‘future flyers’ pack that contains a logbook, where they can record hours worked, which is countersigned by their supervisor.

The volunteers will also complete an online course covering financial planning, CV writing and career planning. Upon completion of the course and having completed an agreed number of volunteer hours, the young volunteer will be presented with a certificate of completion and a skills record.

The job candidate will then be able to take the pack, plus a reference if applicable, to their future employer or course tutor as evidence of their community and social responsibility.
