Wales Air Ambulance Challenge Event Terms and Conditions
The Ironman Wales 2026 or Ironman 70.3 Swansea 2026.
By submitting an application to participate in Ironman Wales 2026 or Ironman 70.3 Swansea 2026 (the “Event”) in support of Wales Air Ambulance, I acknowledge that I have read, understood and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Entry fees
• You are responsible for purchasing your own entry place directly with Ironman for your chosen event.
• Wales Air Ambulance will not purchase places on your behalf.
2. Third-Party terms and conditions
• By accepting these terms and conditions, you also agree to abide by the terms and conditions set out by IRONMAN for your event entry.
• Wales Air Ambulance is not responsible for and cannot be held liable for any changes, cancellations or disputes arising from those third party terms.
3. Fundraising pledge
• By joining the reimbursement scheme, you agree to raise a minimum of:
• £800 for an Ironman 70.3 event, or
• £1,250 for a full Ironman event.
• Fundraising must be completed via an official Wales Air Ambulance fundraising page or through approved offline donations.
4. Reimbursement amount
• Upon successful completion of your fundraising pledge, Wales Air Ambulance will reimburse 50% of your Ironman general entry fee.
• The reimbursement will be based on the entry fee you paid at the time of purchase (excluding any travel, accommodation, or additional costs) and proof of payment will be required.
• Wales Air Ambulance will pay the participant of the reimbursement scheme directly on receipt of a successful application.
5. How do I qualify for the reimbursement scheme?
• If you set up an online fundraising page, you should put the following text on your page: 50% of the cost of my general entry fee will be reimbursed on reaching my fundraising target.
This means that Wales Air Ambulance receives the remaining sponsorship monies.
6.Gift Aid
• As a participant in the reimbursement scheme, Wales Air Ambulance cannot claim Gift Aid on any sponsorship or donation monies raised by you or a close family member (parent, spouse, siblings) as it’s considered a gift aid benefit.
7. Payment process
• Reimbursements will be processed within 8–10 weeks after the event once fundraising has been verified and all donations have been received. • You will be required to submit proof of entry fee payment (e.g. confirmation email or receipt).
8. Failure to meet fundraising pledge
• If the fundraising pledge is not met in full, Wales Air Ambulance reserves the right to withhold the reimbursement.
• Partial reimbursements will not be made.
9. Cancellations, transfers, or non-completion
• If you withdraw, transfer your place, or do not complete the event, you will not be eligible for reimbursement.
• If the event is cancelled by Ironman, we will review reimbursements on a case-by-case basis.
10. Use of funds
• All money raised must be donated to Wales Air Ambulance. Funds cannot be split with another charity.
11. Promotional use
• By taking part, you agree that Wales Air Ambulance may use your name, photos, and event story in promotional materials (unless you opt out in writing).
