One of the UK’s fastest growing fine art auction companies has announced a year-long Charity Partnership with Wales Air Ambulance.
Rogers Jones Auctioneers and Valuers was established in 1992 and has offices in Colwyn Bay, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Powys and Chester.
All auctions are conducted live on its own live bidding platform which is free to use.
Ben Rogers Jones is the appraiser, researcher and cataloguer for items of Welsh interest and has over twenty years professional experience in Welsh art.
The Welsh Sale auction in 2025 achieved a record of £1.45m in sales from three seasonal Welsh auctions.
Ben said: “I live in ‘the sticks’ and spend much of my life on remote Welsh roads when driving between our offices or seeing clients.
“I see first-hand the challenges faced by emergency services within the varied landscape of Wales.
“The Wales Air Ambulance is a vital pan-Wales emergency service which I know has my back in all four corners of the country.
“For that I am exceptionally grateful and it is why I am very pleased to have nominated them as our charity of the year in 2026.”
Wales Air Ambulance is consultant-led, taking hospital-standard treatments to the patient and, if required, transferring them directly to the most appropriate hospital for their illness or injury. It is delivered via a unique third sector and public-sector partnership.
The Wales Air Ambulance Charity relies on public donations to raise the £13 million required every year to keep the helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
The Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS) supplies highly skilled NHS consultants and critical care practitioners who work on board the Charity’s vehicles.
This advanced critical care includes the ability to administer anaesthesia, deliver blood transfusions and conduct minor operations, all at the scene of an incident.
As a pan-Wales service, its dedicated crews, regardless of where they are based, will travel the length and breadth of the country to deliver emergency lifesaving care.
Rogers Jones Auctioneers and Valuers will be holding fundraising activities throughout 2026/27 in aid of Wales Air Ambulance.
Ben said: “A thank you in advance to our clients who help us every year raise notable sums for Welsh charities – I am confident that those clients will be very pleased with our nomination this year. Diolch yn fawr Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru.”
Elaine Orr, Wales Air Ambulance Regional Fundraising Manager said: “We are hugely grateful to Rogers Jones Auctioneers for choosing us as their Charity partner for the year as we mark our 25th anniversary.
“Wales Air Ambulance was created by the people of Wales, for the people of Wales, and it exists because of all those who have supported the Charity and worked for the service.
“We have carried out over 56,000 missions since our first flight on the 1st of March 2001.
“Through partnerships like this we can continue to be there for patients, whenever and wherever they need us. Every pound raised helps save lives!”
