Why race for Wales Air Ambulance?
• Every second counts – Our service is funded almost entirely by donations. By fundraising, you’re keeping lifesaving crews in the air.

How it Works
1. Secure your place – Enter directly with Ironman for your chosen event.
2.Register with us – Let us know you’re racing for Wales Air Ambulance.
3.Fundraise – Rally friends, family, and colleagues to back your challenge.
4.An Important Bit – To qualify for the reimbursement scheme add “50% of the cost of my general entry fee will be reimbursed on reaching my fundraising target. This means that Wales Air Ambulance receives the remaining sponsorship monies.” to your fundraising page.
5.Race day – Wear your tri-suit with pride and take on the ultimate endurance test.
6.Reimbursement* – After the event, we’ll cover 50% of your general entry fee as a thank-you for raising funds
Wales Air Ambulance Reimbursement Scheme
When you fundraise for Wales Air Ambulance in your chosen Ironman event, we’ll help share the cost of your entry.
Here’s how it works:
• You buy your own place directly with Ironman.
• You commit to fundraising target for Wales Air Ambulance
• Once you’ve completed your event and raised the minimum pledge, we’ll reimburse 50% of your general entry fee as a thank-you for your support.
Example
IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea entry: £420
• Fundraising target: £800
• After the race, once fundraising is complete: £210 reimbursed back to you.
Why we do this
Reimbursing a percentage of your entry fee is a cost-effective way to support fundraising. It allows more of the money you raise to go directly towards keeping our helicopters in the air and saving lives across Wales, while still helping with the cost of your challenge.
