Craig's Story

I’m Craig Harrendence, and without the generosity of Wales Air Ambulance supporters like you, I wouldn’t be here today.

In April 2023, I got on my motorbike as I usually would, but just two minutes into my journey, I lost control and went headfirst into the roundabout.

The police shut the road and believed they had a fatality on their hands.

When asked, how did you survive? I can answer with certainty. It was the intervention of the Wales Air Ambulance and the advanced treatment I received at the roadside.

I spent two weeks in intensive care and a further few months in hospital.

The injuries I sustained changed my life forever.

I had several open fractures, shattered the bone at the base of my spine, and punctured my lung, among many other injuries. It has been hard to adapt to a new way of life.

Against the odds, I managed to return to work within six months of the accident – after being told I may never walk again.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting this lifesaving charity. Without a shadow of a doubt, if they weren’t there, I wouldn’t be here today.

The Wales Air Ambulance Summer Raffle has the power to change lives, and whilst I hope you never need them, you never know what’s around the corner. I’ve been a motorcyclist for 35 years and never imagined this would happen.

To be in with the chance of winning £3,000, simply complete the form and send it back with your payment and ticket stubs in theFreepost envelope provided.

Everybody needs this facility, wherever they are, whatever they’re doing, because without it, lives will be lost.

Good luck

Craig Harrendence
