In recent years, there has been some confusion around the fundraising activities of a charity called the ‘Children’s Air Ambulance’ (CAA), which also uses the name ‘The Air Ambulance Service’ (TAAS). We regularly receive enquiries from our supporters asking if this charity is connected to the Wales Air Ambulance.

CAA/TAAS is an English-based registered charity and is not connected to the Wales Air Ambulance.

Wales Air Ambulance is the only air ambulance service based in, and dedicated to, Wales. We have our own paediatric and neonatal division called the Children’s Wales Air Ambulance that attends, on average, 400 babies and children every year (both 999 critical care emergencies and transfers between hospitals).

For clarification:

• Wales Air Ambulance has Lifesaving Lottery Canvassers who occasionally go door-to-door to promote our Lifesaving Lottery. Lottery sign-ups are via Direct Debit (we will never take money directly from you in your home).

        They follow a strict ethical code of conduct.

  The canvassers working on our behalf are identifiable by their red branded clothing and ID badge.

Marketing mail from Wales Air Ambulance will be clearly identified and will include the registered charity number - 1083645
