A close friend/mentor/pain in the ass/brother from another mother came off his bike while training for the Tour De France and paralysed himself neck down. 5 years on from the date when the tour was due to start, he is recreating the event for himself and anyone else who wants to take part. Raising funds for The Welsh Air Ambulance (who literally saved his life and are financed solely through fundraising).
