Wales Air Ambulance has welcomed a new face to the Mid Wales Fundraising Team.

Andrew Hall has been appointed the new fundraising manager for Mid-Wales based at the helicopters charity’s Welshpool airbase.

The new Fundraising manager will oversee the development of fundraising initiatives whilst looking after the existing team of community coordinators across Powys and the North & South borders of the country.

Andrew joins the charity from a background working at a local authority housing department for over two decades.

Andrew said: “I have always had an interest in aviation which was one of the attractions of the job. I am passionate about the cause and the work Wales Air Ambulance do.

“I am currently living a stone’s throw away from Welshpool with my wife Karen and our two cocker spaniels Dexter and Lilli. I am also a keen motorcyclist and it’s always struck me how much the Air Ambulance has helped members of our community. Someone always has a story to tell about Wales Air Ambulance.”

Wales Air Ambulance chief executive officer Angela Hughes said: “We would like to welcome Andrew to the charity and look forward to working with him in future. I’m sure he will become a familiar face to many across Mid Wales communities.”

Andrew added: “I am thrilled to be working for such a worthwhile cause and can’t wait to get stuck in. I hope that I can continue to assist the whole team with the wonderful work they do across Mid and North Wales.”
