Wales Air Ambulance is appealing for Volunteers in the Pembrokeshire area to help raise vital funds.

The charity is actively looking for people willing to spare a few hours to help fundraise, by either volunteering at the local shop in Tenby or helping with activities across the county.

Wales Air Ambulance Community Coordinator Tony Key said: “Our volunteers are important in helping us not only raise money but also raise awareness. Volunteering for Wales Air Ambulance offers a great deal of opportunities from meeting new people to helping to arrange events. You can help make a real difference across the area.”

Recently, the charity welcomed two new volunteers in the Pembroke area. Richard Lewis and Glenn Collins decided to join the charity with a fitness focus goal at heart. Over the Easter bank holiday, the enthusiastic pair completed a 12 mile walk from Pembroke Dock to Carew, raising £850 for the charity.

Tony added: “Richard and Glenn are a shining example of how something as simple as walking can be turned into a fundraising initiative. To raise over £800 for us in their first fundraiser is incredible and we thank them for supporting us. Volunteering for Wales Air Ambulance is fun and varied and is something worthwhile to include on CVs.”
