A Flintshire pub has raised more than £800 for Wales Air Ambulance with two fundraising events.

The Swan Inn in Gwernymynydd held bingo and music nights at the pub, to help keep the charities four helicopters flying.

Event organiser Patricia Fagan and pub landlord Kevin Thomas said: “We chose to fundraise for WAA because it’s such an important cause in areas like this.”

The events raised a total of £805.20.

WAA community co-ordinator Debra Sima said: “We would like to thank both Patricia and Kevin for making the events possible and choosing to support Wales Air Ambulance.

“A special thanks also to everyone from the local community who attended and made the events such a success. Their support means we can continue to fly lifesaving missions across Wales.”
