An Anglesey community have turned a much loved past-time into support for Wales Air Ambulance.

Siwan Edwards and her husband Siôn have held a stone skimming competition at Rhosneigr for the last few years, and decided this year to donate all proceeds to Wales Air Ambulance.

Siwan said “We decided to support Wales Air Ambulance as we know how important the service is both to beach activities and the Snowdonia range close by.”

The event raised £143 and will help fund life-saving missions across the country.

WAA Community Co-ordinator Eifion Jones said “We are very grateful to Siwan and Siôn for their latest efforts. It shows how something as simple as stone-skimming can bring a community together to support a cause.”
