A Ceredigion Artist has raised £1,000 for Wales Air Ambulance through the sale of her paintings.

Margaret Worrall has lived in Aberystwyth for over 50 years and sold many of her paintings during this year’s Ceredigion Art Trail. The money was also raised in memory of her late son, Ian.

Margaret said: “I taught myself how to paint, mainly starting out as a hobby. My first piece of art was sold to America in 2004 and now I sell my work to raise money for Wales Air Ambulance.”

WAA fundraising assistant Lynne Hughes said “We would like to thank Margaret for using her artistic skills to support the charity. Her kindness will help keep the helicopters flying for the people of Wales.”

The money was presented to WAA pilot, James Benson by Margaret and Jim Worrall on Tuesday, October 31st at the Welshpool air base.
