A newly formed biker group in Bala has raised over £600 for the Wales Air Ambulance.

Bala Bikers was formed in March this year by Chris Ellis, and now hold regular monthly meetings at the Olde Bull’s Head in Bala. Chris still being the driving force.

Since they started, the club have held several events to raise money for the Wales Air Ambulance. One of these events was a Bingo Night at the Bala Pavilion, and the club is thankful to Eleri Edwards for arranging the evening which was a huge success. They are also thankful to all the people who donated funds to such a worthy cause.

This weekend the Bala bikers took part in a Charity Ride. Their route was from Bala - Welshpool - Diana Mawddy - Dolgellau and then back to Bala.

More fundraising events have been arranged by the club which will continue to raise money for the Wales Air Ambulance.

Several Bala Bikers travelled to Welshpool Airport last Sunday to present a cheque for the sum of £634.97 to Helen Thomas, Wales Air Ambulance Community Fund Co-ordinator.
