Award-Winning Caffi HEMS Set to Reopen The Wales Air Ambulance is delighted to announce that its popular Caffi HEMS is due to reopen on Sunday 18th April, following recent lockdown restrictions. The award-winning café, based at Caernarfon Airport, was forced to close in December following the announcement from Welsh Government that all non-essentials businesses had to shut its doors. The café will be open for takeaways only and there will be a limited menu available. Caffi HEMS will open Wednesday to Sunday between 10am-3pm. For the safety of customers and staff, Caffi HEMS will be following all appropriate public health guidelines. Customers will be asked to follow social distancing at all times and contactless or card payment is preferable, where possible. There will also be hand sanitising stations available for people to maintain their hand hygiene. Caffi HEMS won the best enterprise café in North Wales in 2018. This prestigious title was awarded by SME News, an outlet for CEOs, leaders and decision-makers in UK-based SMEs. The Best Social Enterprise Award recognises industrious and hardworking businesses and enterprises that have worked arduously to provide the best products and services for their diverse community. Sue Barnes, Chief Executive of the Wales Air Ambulance, is pleased that the popular café is reopening. She said: “We are delighted that we are able to provide our customers with a takeaway option. The safety of our staff and customers is of paramount importance to us and we want to reassure our customers that we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to ensure the cafe continues to be safe. “The staff are looking forward to reopening the much-loved cafe and it will be lovely to welcome people back. We’d like to thank our customers for your continued support over the past year.” Caffi HEMS is run by the Wales Air Ambulance and its name is inspired by the Charity’s role in the field of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS). Located near the beautiful Gwynedd coastline at Dinas Dinlle, Caffi HEMS offers spectacular panoramic views at the foothills of Snowdonia National Park. Every penny raised at the café goes towards the lifesaving work of Wales Air Ambulance. Manage Cookie Preferences
