Current Lottery Campaigns

The following information relates to our current Wales Air Ambulance Lifesaving Lottery campaigns.

Wales Air Ambulance is registered with the Fundraising Regulator. The Fundraising Regulator regulates fundraising activities used by charities in the UK and enforces a Code of Fundraising Practice, which aims to make certain that your experience of this type of fundraising is positive.

We closely monitor our lottery campaigns to ensure that they adhere to the regulations and Codes of Practice set out by the Fundraising Regulator.

More information can be found on the Fundraising Regulator website.

Telephone

Expand

We are currently contacting some of our existing lottery players via telephone as part of our upgrade campaign. The long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic will have a significant impact on our ability to raise money for our lifesaving service. This upgrade campaign will ask our current lottery supporters if they would like to increase their weekly lottery plays (if they are in a position to do so).

We are only contacting lottery players who have previously provided consent for us to contact them with news and updates and we have undertaken additional screening to remove anyone registered with the Telephone Preference Service and Fundraising Preference Service.

Door-to-Door

Expand

This method of fundraising is one of the most effective ways for us to gain new supporters and ensures that we can continue our lifesaving service for the people of Wales.

Following strict health and safety guidance, our lottery canvassers are now active again. Your safety and the safety of those who are representing us is of paramount importance and you will see this reflected in the processes that will be used by our canvassers.

All sign-ups will be completed by our canvasser without the need for a signature (to ensure social distancing can be maintained). Once all the details have been entered by the canvasser, an email or text message will be sent to the new member (immediately) with a link to a digital confirmation form.

For more information about our canvassers and how you can identify them, please click here.
