The Jones family have recently completed a walk from Cwmbran to Brecon traversing the canal footpath, which raised over £800 for the Wales Air Ambulance.

The family who are also members of the Henllys Worship Centre, near Cwmbran, were assisted by the Reverend Rebecca Stevens and other church members on their first day. They also camped out during the walk.

Churchwarden Kieron, along with his wife Ceriann who is secretary to the Church Council completed the walk with their two sons, Cooper,8, and Bailey,5, raising an amazing £880.90.

Kieron said: “The event has been so good for us, as it has brought our church family together and shows how strong and supportive we are”.

This isn’t the first time the family have supported the Wales Air Ambulance. In March the Jones’ held an afternoon tea at the Henllys Village hall which raised £173 – taking their grand total raised to £1053.90.

Kieron added: “We have chosen to support the Wales Air Ambulance as it covers the whole community, and we hope to continue raising money for the charity in the future.
