A pub in the centre of an Anglesey community has raised over £10,000 for the Wales Air Ambulance, holding a sheep shearing day.

Y ring in Rhosgoch held their annual sheep shearing event which raised an incredible £10,900.

The pub and its community are no strangers to supporting the helicopter charity and have been fundraising since 2012, choosing to support it because of their rural location.

Wales Air Ambulance community co-ordinator Eifion Jones said: “Y Ring is very much the centre of the local community and their sheep shearing day shows just how creative you can be with fundraising!

“We are humbled by their continued support in funding lifesaving missions and helping to keep our helicopters flying.”

The group intends to keep supporting the Wales Air Ambulance in the future in any way they can.
