Domino’s Pizza Llanelli has signed up to take part in the Wales Air Ambulance My20 fundraiser, marking the Charity’s 20th anniversary.

Wales Air Ambulance marks its 20th anniversary on the 1 March and to acknowledge the milestone, the Charity has created a new fundraising event called My20. The event allows the participants to pick their own challenge, task or activity that reflects the number ‘20’ which they can complete during March.

The store in Bridge Street, Llanelli, will donate the amount spent on every 20th order for 20 days throughout March, to the lifesaving charity.

They began their fundraiser on Monday 1 March and are hoping to raise £250. This is the first fundraiser the Llanelli branch of Domino’s Pizza, which is a franchised group run by a family, have done to raise funds for the Charity and the team are ‘looking forward to it’.

Speaking about why they wanted to take part in the Charity’s My20 fundraiser, Chelsea Nicholas, Marketing Assistant for CRS Pizzas, said: “We have decided to take part as we believe the work the Wales Air Ambulance puts into their patients is extraordinary. As a team, we feel that the Charity always tries their best to improve their facilities to support the country. This is shown with the determination and time they are putting in to maintain their 24/7 service.

“The Wales Air Ambulance is an independent charity that relies entirely on charitable donations to maintain the helicopter operation. This is incredible teamwork which creates such a loving environment for all.

“We feel that the Wales Air Ambulance is very important as it’s such a unique service that many people would be lost without. Their main focus is to provide air cover to relieve illness and injury whenever it is needed. There is not much more you can ask from the team. Keep Saving lives!”

Katie Macro, the Charity’s South West Wales Community Fundraiser, said: “A huge thank you to everyone at Domino’s Pizza in Llanelli for taking part. What a wonderful idea to raise money for the Charity’s My20 fundraiser. Domino’s Pizza is always a hit with people, and we hope the public will get involved with the fundraiser and tuck into some lovely pizzas during March.

“We also hope the staff enjoy My20 and we really appreciate their support, especially as we’re now a 24/7 service. Every penny we make is vital to ensure that we can be there for people in need.”
