1. How long have you worked with Wales Air Ambulance?
-
I joined Wales Air Ambulance in January 2017.
-
2. Have you always wanted to be a pilot?
-
I have since I can remember. I flew remote-controlled aeroplanes with my Grandad and then took an interest in remote-controlled helicopters with my dad when I was very young.
-
3. What does it mean to you to fly for WAA?
-
It is a pleasure to be working on the Children's Wales Air Ambulance team in Cardiff. My grandad used to live here.
-
4. If you weren't a pilot, what would you be?
--
I wouldn't have a clue.
-
5. When are where did you do your training? Civilian or military?
--
I had my first flight and a trial lesson in a helicopter when I was 13 and was offered a scholarship when I was 15, which gave me an insight into all aspects of aviation and confirmed that I really wanted to pursue a career as a pilot. I started working towards my licenses when I was 16 in 2011 at Gloucestershire Airport, whilst studying for my A levels. I became a Flight Instructor and also operated as crew on a VIP aircraft before working with the Wales Air Ambulance.
