Darth Disclaimer - This is not a Wales Air Ambulance event.

Dear Darth participant,

Welcome to the prestigious Darth XIII event. Before you can participate you must read and sign the following disclaimer.

DISCLAIMER

I am aware of the extreme nature of The Darth.

I fully understand the different aspects of the challenge and enter at my own risk.

I fully understand that The Darth is not a standard trail half marathon but an extreme 13.1 mile running event that takes part on multiple mixed terrain including open roads, sand, stone, cliffs, beach, riverbed and sea submersions.

I confirm that I am familiar with running/racing on the trail and am aware that I will not be permitted to participate without suitable trail shoes.

I confirm that I am medically fit with no underlying medical conditions and consider myself sufficiently robust to participate in The Darth without causing detriment to my health.

I am aware and agree that if I experience any chest pains, breathing difficulties, palpitations, loss of vision or light headedness that I will immediately inform a regulator who will then decide if I may/may not continue. If I’m asked to leave the course assisted by a Marshall and refuse, I am agreeing that I am no longer the responsibility of the event organisers.

I am fully aware that any injury obtained whilst participating in The Darth is my fault and not the responsibility of Peloton Running, the host Rugby Club or any of my friends that I am running with.

I confirm that I am fully responsible for any personal injury, no matter how severe, sustained during The Darth and I will not seek any compensation from Peloton Running, my friends or the host Rugby Club.

I am aware that The Darth Regulators are not responsible for providing any form of first aid. However, if a Regulator does offer first aid I understand this is done with a good Samaritan Principle and I will not hold any organiser accountable for any first aid received.

I am aware that all personal belongings left under the care of the event organisers is at my own risk, and The Darth organisers and/or the host Rugby Host are not responsible for lost / stolen / damaged items.

If I am unable to run, then I confirm I shall not give my place to another runner, and if I am running, I will bring photo ID to registration of the event.

I confirm that I am over 18 years of age.

I take part in all aspects of Darth XIII on Saturday 16th March 2024 completely at my own risk.

I confirm that I will watch and sign electronically that I have watched The Darth Safety Video that will be sent via email in the new year.

If I have selected a free charity space, then I know that I must raise £200 for the Wales Air Ambulance Charity via Just Giving not including gift aid. I know that I must raise £100 by 15th January 2024 and raise the remaining £100 by 1st March 2024. Should I fail to achieve this my entry may be withdrawn.

Darth Transfers, Withdrawals and Refunds Policy

From the moment we begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. Your entry fee is invested in the cost of staging the event – everything from risk assessments and safety measures, from printing to safety pins, from event numbers to marketing. Organising any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense. Our withdrawal policy reflects this and is as follows;

Cancelation of Event: In the event of cancellation of any event by Peloton Running, you will be offered the option of a full refund or transfer to the next event. We will endeavour to inform all participants a week prior to the event, although please be aware that this is not always possible.

Withdrawal: unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a refund, however, so that you don’t lose out on your entry fee, you will have the option of deferring to the following year's event (one year roll-forward only).

Transfers between people: Race entries are not transferable between people
