It is probably the best job in the world! Wales 2. Have you always wanted to be a pilot? Wales I have always wanted to be a helicopter pilot - or at least from the age of 3. Wales 3. What does it mean to you to fly for WAA? Wales Flying for the Wales Air Ambulance is an amazing privilege. I get to work with some of the best pre-hospital medical professionals in the world. Due to their skills and the time saved by the aircraft, we get to make a real difference to our patients' outcome. As you can imagine, this brings a real sense of job satisfaction. Wales 4. If you weren't a pilot, what would you be? Wales If I had to move to a different vocation, I would probably look to work full time for my local church or another charity. Wales 5. When and where did you do your training? Wales Before I joined Wales Air Ambulance I spent 16 years flying for the Royal Navy. I specialised in maritime troop transport, Search and Rescue and instructed others in these roles during my career. Wales
