Wales Air Ambulance is gearing up for the exciting opening of a brand new shop based in the centre of Blackwood.

The shop located in units 13-15 of the Market Place opened its doors to the public on Thursday November 30th at 10am.

The Charity is no stranger to the high street with 16 shops already established in various locations across Wales. The opening of the 17th store is an exciting time for the charity especially so close to Christmas.

Wales Air Ambulance retail area manager Donna Rogers said: “This is an exciting time for us as a charity and we cannot wait to welcome Blackwood to our family of Wales Air Ambulance shops.

“We would encourage anyone looking to volunteer to come down and see us as we’re always looking for new people to join us.”

People from the local community are also encouraged to donate items to the shop and make use of the free collection service offered by the charity.

WAA Shop Manager Julie Mcroy and Assistant Manager Lotte Fisher said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming the people of Blackwood to our shop and please do come down and see us.”

The shops continue to be a key source of funding for the charity and directly help keep the four helicopters flying for the people of Wales.
