Wales Air Ambulance’s Cardiff shop has been celebrating with a special showcase event.

People flocked in their droves to the shop in Whitchurch on Saturday 16th of June to browse the quality items for sale, meet the mascots and enjoy a tasty piece of cake.

Wales Air Ambulance Retail Area Manager Donna Rogers said: “There was a great atmosphere on Saturday, and it gave us the perfect platform to promote our message and tell the people of Whitchurch about the work of Wales Air Ambulance.”

Shoppers were also treated to live entrainment in the afternoon by Ukulele Nights who have adopted Wales Air Ambulance as their charity of the year.

Donna added: “We would like to thank Ukulele Nights for their continued support, they certainly did entertain our customers and volunteers. I would like to congratulate the Whitchurch shop team on what was a very successful and thoroughly enjoyable event. It was an immense effort by all and special thanks goes also to the shop manager, Merlyn who made this all happen”.

Wales Air Ambulance operates 16 shops across Wales which are a key source of funding to help raise the £6.5 million required every year to keep the four helicopters flying. To find out more about volunteering at your local WAA shop, email: [email protected]
