Wales Air Ambulance has teamed up with South Wales-based haulage company Owens to help promote the work of the charity across Wales.

The haulage group has re-painted a trailer with the aim to promote the work of the all Wales charity.

The large trailer painted in striking green, red and white is set to be an unmissable sight on the roads whilst it travels across the UK.

WAA Community Coordinator Steffan Anderson-Thomas said: “We are really excited about this new partnership with Owens. The company is a household name across Wales, so to have their support is a huge boost to us. Every year we need to raise £6.5 million to sustain the service. We hope that this partnership will help us to achieve our fundraising target.”

Owens Group operations Manager, Emyr Owen said: “Owens group have been based in Dafen for the last 45 years and are very proud to support Wales Air Ambulance. Their fantastic facilities are located just a stone’s throw away from us and we hope that the newly branded trailer which will travel across Wales and parts of the UK will attract people’s attention and help raise money for the charity.”

Steffan added: “It’s hard to miss the trailer and we would encourage people to keep their eyes peeled as it travels across Wales. The lorry has a unique donation code on the side which people can text if it’s safe to do so. Once again we would like to thank Owens for choosing to support us and we look forward to seeing the trailer out and about.”
