A group from Pembrokeshire have raised £1000 for Wales Air Ambulance through organising an outdoor endurance event.

The Pembrokeshire Mud Slingers 4x4 off road club held the event at the Glogue Quarry which saw participants endure punishing climbs and gravity defying descents, all in muddy conditions. 

The group are regular supporters of Wales Air Ambulance and their recent event raised an impressive £1,000 for the helicopter charity.

Pembrokeshire Mud Slingers Chairman Peter Rees said: “It was great to be able to hold this event and support such an important cause. Everyone had fun on the day and despite the mud it was a truly enjoyable experience”.

WAA community co-ordinator Tony Key said: “We would like to thank the mud slingers for their continued support. They are a shining example of how something unique can be turned into a fundraising opportunity.

“Their search for the fear factor is only surpassed by their generosity to Wales Air Ambulance.”
