A Powys community has raised money for Wales Air Ambulance by holding sheepdog trials.

The trials held in Nantmel near Llandrindod Wells raised £700 for the helicopter charity.

Organisers Sophia and Bryan Pugh said: “It was a pleasure to hold this event and raise money for Wales Air Ambulance at the same time.

“It shows how strong community spirit and support for the charity is locally.”

WAA community coordinator Helen Pruett said: “We would like to thank everyone in Nantmel for getting behind this event and supporting Wales Air Ambulance.

“Their support will help keep our helicopters flying and saving lives across Wales.”
