Anglesey-based CMP Plant Hire Ltd (part of the Fox Group) is helping to promote awareness of Wales Air Ambulance’s 24/7 lifesaving work by wrapping one of their tipper trucks with the Charity’s branding.

This is the first time the company has worked together with a charity. They have created an unmissable red and white wrap for the large tipper truck, which was designed by Jonathan Roberts at ‘Racecraft Signs’ in Conwy, North Wales.

As well as rebranding one of its tippers, the construction company is also making a monthly donation to the Charity.

Speaking of the importance of supporting the Wales Air Ambulance, Depot General Manager Geno Williams said: “We chose them as our sponsored charity as we understand how vital their lifesaving service is across Wales. This was also helped by recently seeing the Charity become a 24-hour service.

“There’s a large percentage of people who live in rural and isolated areas, making it extremely hard for land vehicles to gain access and reach those in need, especially through the winter months.

“We also understand and appreciate that time is precious in saving lives and getting them to a hospital. If the helicopter speeds this up then it can only be a good thing. As we are in the construction industry and we operate and run a couple of quarries in Anglesey, it is good to know that the Wales Air Ambulance is there if we ever need them.”

The company also hope to hold some fundraising events once government restrictions are eased.

CMP Plant Hire Ltd, which was acquired in 2020 as part of the growing Fox Group, has had very good feedback from local residents and customers about the charity vehicle wrap.

Geno added: “Many have said it’s good to see a local company supporting such a vital charity, especially in these uncertain times. Like many friends, colleagues and customers have said, this is a service that we could all benefit from in the event of an accident or becoming unwell.”

The tipper’s charity wrap has also received a lot of attention via the company’s social media channels, which has made CMP Plant Hire ‘very proud’.

The company aims to keep supporting the helicopter charity in as many ways as possible and to highlight its work, in and around Anglesey and North Wales, for many years to come.

Linda Ellender, Community Fundraiser for the Wales Air Ambulance, said: “The support we’re receiving from CMP Plant Hire is incredible. Not only have they had the Charity’s wrap put on one of their trucks but they’re also making a monthly donation and hope to do some fundraisers for us in the future. The truck looks great. It’s unmissable and will bring awareness of the Charity to everyone on the roads. Thank you so much to everyone at the company.”
