A Cycling group from Neath have raised over £3,000 for Wales Air Ambulance after tackling a 150 mile charity ride through South Wales.

The Bryncoch Bombers was set up by amateur cycle enthusiasts to raise money through organised charity rides and have chosen Wales Air Ambulance as their nominated charity of the year.

The route which saw the group of eleven start in Neath, took them through country roads, bypassing the capital, before reaching the Severn Bridge and returning to Neath to finish the respectable 150 mile course.

Wales Air Ambulance community coordinator Steffan Anderson-Thomas said: “We would like to thank all cyclists at the Bryncoch Bombers club for this incredibly generous donation. With each mission costing on average £1,500 this money will help us to continue our lifesaving work all over Wales”.
