March 1st is an important day for our charity for a number of reasons. It's a day where we celebrate the Patron Saint of Wales, and our birthday.
Since its inception, your Charity has undertaken over 41,000 missions. To keep the helicopters in the air 24/7, we need to raise £8 million every year.
Today (March 1st 2022) we also share with you key information that shows the value of your support in terms of the medical service we provide.
Thanks to you, our supporters and volunteers, we have one of the largest and most medically advanced air ambulance operations in Europe, running 24/7. Thank you.
To our staff, Trustees, medics, pilots and allocators – past and present. Your passion and determination is the strong foundation upon which Wales Air Ambulance has been built. Thank you.
This is your Charity and you now have a unique service that stands out above the rest – so, thank you.
It’s because of you that we’re able to serve Wales, and save lives.
On the day that the Wales Air Ambulance Charity marks its 21st birthday, a report published today (01/03/22) has revealed that seriously injured trauma patients attended by the service have a significantly increased chance of survival.
