The Easter Holidays are almost here, and Wales Air Ambulance is launching a unique challenge to help raise awareness for their lifesaving missions across Wales.
The Welsh helicopter charity are asking supporters to take their HeliWellies on holiday and share photos of their footwear whilst exploring the Welsh countryside, to raise awareness for WAA’s work across the country.
The HeliWellies Holiday challenge aims to demonstrate the wide reach of Wales Air Ambulance’s missions - as their aircraft can land by the patient, even in areas difficult to reach by road.
The charity is encouraging their supporters to share their photos on social media, tagging the charity in the post and using the hashtag ‘#HeliWelliesHoliday’.
Mark Stevens, Wales Air Ambulance Fundraising Manager, said: “Even though it is Spring time, in Wales we still need to be prepared to keep our feet dry!
“To help raise awareness for WAA’s work across Wales, we are asking supporters to take photos of the HeliWellies in different locations during their holidays and share them on social media.
“By taking your HeliWellies on holiday and sharing a snap online, you are helping to raise awareness for WAA missions across Wales.
“We will then share our favourites on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at the end of the holidays.”
Share your photos of HeliWellies on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and tag Wales Air Ambulance at @air_ambulance, and have your photos featured.
